G8 is a funding scheme to help elect more Liberal Democrats in local government. It is funded by the Federal, English, Scottish and Welsh parties, managed by the G8 Committee and administered by ALDC.

The 2025 G8 programme will be made up of two rounds of direct mail which will be posted to voters in February 2025 and early March 2025. This is to a priority group of voters in each ward, for example ‘squeeze’ voters. G8 is NOT a cash grant. G8 also focuses on supporting potential Lib Dem gains.

As part of your application, you need to commit meeting the two artwork deadlines of Monday 23 January 2025 and Monday 10 February 2025. Templates will be available on ALDC Artworker and Affinity if your application is successful.

The maximum number of wards /divisions each council area can apply to receive G8 funding is 5.

Remember the deadline for applications is Monday 11 November 2024 at 10am.
