Whilst many will be heading over to Somerton and Frome or Mid Bedfordshire, there are also some by-elections rather closer to home where local teams are fighting hard to win. Here are a few you could lend a hand in this coming July.
Llanfarian, Ceredigion.
Raymond ‘Truck’ Evans is looking to take over the Lib Dem mantle in Llanfarian ward from retiring Councillor Geraint Hughes. ‘Truck’ and the team have been working really hard, and there’s canvassing and delivery taking place most days and twice on the weekend between now and polling day (20th of July).
If you can help in any way, then please get in contact at: glyn.preston@aldc.org / 07398951409
Penmaen, Caerphilly.
The South Wales East Valleys Local Party (SWEV) are looking forward to fighting the Penmaen ward in the soon-to-be-called by-election on Caerphilly Borough Council. They’ll be looking for offers of support delivering and canvassing, so if you think you’d fancy a trip to lovely Caerphilly then please get in touch with Kevin Wilkins at: kevin.wilkins@libdems.org.uk
Llandybie Community Council, Carmarthenshire.
This is the second time this year that the local party have fought a by-election for Llandybie Community Council. Last time it was a very closely run thing, and so it would be great if the local team could have some help and support in this election.

There is also an action day this Saturday, that you can register for here: https://events.libdems.org.uk/events/48815/leafleting-llandybie-by-election/
