There might not be any nationwide elections scheduled this year in Wales, but we do have some important by-elections coming up which will be important for pushing local parties forward in Wales.
We want to get more Liberal Democrats elected in Wales this year – but to do so we need you!
In Wrexham, Graham Kelly is our candidate in the Smithfield ward. There’s a real opportunity of us doubling our representation on Wrexham Council if Graham has enough support from elsewhere in Wales.
In Aethwy ward, Anglesey, Sarah Jackson is taking on Plaid Cymru in a ward which includes Menai Bridge and Llanfair P.G. Sarah and the team are really planning on pulling out all the stops in this by-election.
In Torfaen, Miles Cook is running a start-up campaign in an area where we have no Council representation. He is doing his bit for liberalism!
These by-elections are great opportunities, but if we want to win we need as many boots on the ground as possible.
