There might not be any nationwide elections scheduled this year in Scotland, but we do have some important by-elections in some of our 150 Rising Target Wards for 2027 taking place.
We want to get more Liberal Democrats elected in Scotland this year – but to do so we need you!
In Edinburgh, Fiona Bennett is our candidate in Corstorphine/Murrayfield – with this being in Edinburgh West and with 2 Lib Dem councillors there currently, this is a must win!
In Aberdeen, Mevrick Fernandes is standing in Dyce/Bucksburn/Danestone. We held this was before and we have identified it as one of our best opportunities for a gain in the 150 Rising Programme! Postal Votes land in a week so it is all hands on deck!
We also have a by-election in Stirling in the Dunblane and Bridge of Allan ward which we lost by just 25 votes last year. The team there are already working and would welcome your support.
These by-elections are great opportunities, but if we want to win we need as many boots on the ground as possible.
