On Sunday 3 April, a team of 10 ALDC staff are running in the Manchester Marathon to raise money for ALDC’s Local Election Appeal!
Some of the runners will be doing a quarter marathon relay, some half and one the whole Marathon.
We’re asking for your support to sponsor our runners to help contribute towards the £40,000 we need to raise to support more than 200 brilliant Liberal Democrat candidates gain seats in our target wards.
Thank you for everything you have already donated. In such a short time, we’re already over halfway to raising what we need!
ALDC needs to raise enough money to pay for an extra letter to be delivered to 40,000 key postal voters in battleground wards – places where teams are already campaigning hard to make gains in May.
You can make a direct difference in the number of seats the party wins this year, and help boost the party’s national profile.
Here are our ALDC runnners!
Arian Nemati will be running a marathon for the first time! Chris Twells has been training by running and delivering leaflets in the hills of Salford. Abi Bell has been acing the Couch to 10k training programme! Alex Warren will be running a 10k for the first time! Ed Stephenson is a long time runner, but first time competitor! Frankie Singleton may be a goalkeeper, but is looking to score a sub one hour 10k! John Bridges will be the oldest ALDC staff member to be running! Ollie Bradfield has been training hard to make sure he beats his colleagues! Thom Campion is travelling from Newcastle to show Manchester how to do it! Paul Heilbron is aiming to run a sub 40 minute 10k!
The more money that is raised, the more candidates ALDC will be able to support!
