Earlier in the year we announced that we were developing a Solo Councillors Network to support all the fantastic Lib Dem councillors who are the only Lib Dem on their Council (at any level).
Well, we’re delighted to announce that our first event is taking place on Thursday 30th September at 7:30pm with Cllr John Leech as our guest speaker.
The hour-long session hosted by Zöe Franklin (ALDC Development Officer) will be an opportunity to hear from and ask questions of John, and then take time to discuss what you would like from the network. All councillors (ALDC members or not) who are a solo councillor (or one of a pair) on a council at any level of local government are welcome to attend.

Thank you for the invitation for Lone Councillor Network meeting on 30 September, but my apologies. I am the only Lib Dem councillor on both Craven District and Skipton Town Councils. With the HMG-imposed reorganisation, I feel it will be very challenging to retain/gain any Lib Dems on the Unitary North Yorkshire council after the May 2022 local elections. I hope your LCN meeting will be positive.
