We saw more signs of the Scottish Liberal Democrat resurgence with a substantial improvement in the Haddington and Lammermuir By-Election (May 2019).
Stuart Crawford and the East Lothian team managed to increase our vote share by 5% and it was our best vote share in a council by-election in Scotland for over a year.
So far this year the Scottish Liberal Democrats have had the largest overall increase in vote share in by-elections on average, and in each by-election we have contested it has increased! We need to keep fighting each by-election as this will reap rewards.
Our first opportunity to measure our resurgence is in just over a week in the European Elections. Local parties across Scotland are working hard and polling has shown we are doing better. If we are to get an MEP elected in Scotland we must continue the work right up until polling day.
