The LGA is once again running its “Next Generation” programme for Liberal Democrat councillors.
Next Generation is a programme for talented and ambitious councillors who have demonstrated potential and would like to build on their skills to progress in a political career.

I’m a newly-elected Councillor who would like to learn how to be more effective. With a growing case-work load, my first intervention in council on Monday, a motion to full council re Climate Emergency submitted and work already started on two subcommittees etc I would much appreciate how to ensure what I do is going to increase my skill set, be a great advert for the LibDems and improve the lives of the people I have been elected to serve.
