As promised a couple of weeks ago, we can now announce the winner of our annual Knock for Choc competition. The competition for the most doors knocked over Fairtrade Fortnight!
The winner of our £50 hamper of Fairtrade chocolate is Central Southsea ward in Portsmouth who clocked up impressive stats as they stormed to victory – fingers crossed their work pays off in May as well.
Central Southsea ward is a key Portsmouth target fronted by our brilliant candidate – Suzy Horton. Suzy is a well known local campaigner and a cabinet member for education. Suzy and the team are fighting for residents to have the choice on local parking zones and cleaning up the streets with new bins and planting 50,000+ new trees.
Suzy in her cabinet member for education role, has led the way for local schools finding £8.5 million in additional funding and creating over 1,300 new school places. Even with a record that strong it’ll be a close race in Central Southsea with just a few votes separating Suzy – with her strong local record – and Labour (who happily prop up the Conservatives when it comes to voting on the council).
Congratulations to an amazing team and some fantastic results – keep on going!
Thank you to everyone who took part, the work that you have been doing was clear to see!

Thank you! I’ve had some amazing help from some amazing people in recent weeks so, even though I’m a chocoholic, I think I may have to share!!
Thank you so much.
