Our friends at Lib Dem HQ have sent out a reminder about this Wednesday’s Holocaust Memorial Day, which this year has chosen for its theme “Don’t Stand By”.
As some of you will be aware, Holocaust Memorial Day takes place on 27th January 2016.
This is a commemoration day in the United Kingdom dedicated to the remembrance of those who suffered in the Holocaust and in subsequent genocides.
The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2016 is “Don’t Stand By” and is therefore of significant relevance given the current refugee crisis.
This day therefore provides an excellent opportunity for you to write to places of worship and community centres in your constituency as well as attend a local event to show your support.
If you’re looking for any inspiration for press releases, letters to the press, or social media posts to commemorate the day, ALDC can download Lib Dem HQ’s support sheet, here.
