Over the last few months, ALDC have been releasing a series of “Campaigning on…” packs, featuring all the resources you will need to campaign on key local issues in your area.
Here is a summary of the packs released so far, and our plans for the next month.

There are a number of different campaigns for cycling that you could run and this pack is just to give you a few ideas, as well as some best practice from across the country. Many materials that would be useful for any local road safety campaign and not just cycling.

With the forthcoming Police and Crime Commissioner elections in England and Wales in May 2016, it is a key time for campaigners to find out more of the local crime and Anti-Social Behaviour and to lead the fight for action on residents’ concerns.

Whilst we may not all be allotment holders, protecting green space is a very emotive and safeguarding local allotments is a great to campaign for you to run.

Campaigning on the Localism Act
We have produced some materials for you to use to further the campaigns as well as a briefing on the different parts of the Localism Act that you may consider campaigning on.

The first of our housing campaign packs looks at opposing the sell-off of council/housing association properties, tackling rogue landlords, and the potential for regeneration of local sites. Campaign materials will include:

As we get into the new political year and prepare to go into full local elections mode, it is as important as ever that our supporters are encouraged to convert to postal votes. Postal votes reduce the likelihood of illness, emergencies, or simply the demands of everyday life preventing Lib Dem supporters from voting on the day.
