Hi everyone,
Today sees the launch of Norman Lamb’s Equality for Mental Health Campaign. Below is a link some template material to help you get involved in the campaign, include letters, a press release and suggested Tweets.
The key to coverage will be ensuring we include a strong local news line. You may wish to insert an ‘ask’ of the local council if you have a local mental health service which is under pressure, or details of your own local campaign.
Also included is a list of signatories of the open letter, if any of these people are linked in some way to your local area, get in touch with them and see if they are willing to contribute a quote for this press release or be in a picture with you, which you can use alongside this press release.
Alternatively, if you know some local VIPs (your local football team, for example) please encourage them to add their support to this important campaign at www.equality4mentalhealth.uk. Again, if they are happy to do so, ask if they are willing to give you a quote or a picture.
