£825 tax cut for people in <<…area…>>
Liberal Democrats will have delivered a a £825 income tax cut for people in<<…specific area…>> by the next election <<…spokesperson…>> said today.
The Autumn Statement revealed plans to let workers take home even more money before they pay any income tax.
Raising the tax-free personal allowance to £10,000 – a tax cut of £700 – was on the front of the Liberal Democrat 2010 manifesto.
But by the end of this parliament Liberal Democrats will have raised this allowance to £10,600.
In the <<…region…>> this will lift at least <<…number…>> out of income tax altogether in 2015-16.

“This tax cut is the real budget boost for working people and takes even more of the poorest out of income tax altogether.

“Local Tories might try and claim credit but their party’s focus has always been on inheritance tax cut for millionaires, which we blocked.
“David Cameron even claimed that we couldn’t afford to do it. While Labour crashed the economy and simply can’t be trusted with the nation’s finances.”

In the North East the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 18,000 people out of income tax altogether and 934,000 people will see an average real terms gain of £94.
North West
In the North West the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 47,000 people out of income tax altogether and 2.57 million people will see an average real terms gain of£94.
Yorkshire and the Humber

East Midlands
In the East Midlands the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 33,000 people out of income tax altogether and 1.71 million people will see an average real terms gain of £94.
West Midlands
In the West Midlands the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 38,000 people out of income tax altogether and 2.03 million people will see an average real terms gain of £94.
East of England
In the East of England the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 40,000 people out of income tax altogether and 2.35 million people will see an average real terms gain of £95.
London
In London the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 49,000 people out of income tax altogether and 3.28 million people will see an average real terms gain of£95.
South East
In the South East the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 54,000 people out of income tax altogether and 3.55 million people will see an average real terms gain of£95.
South West
In the South West the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 42,000 people out of income tax altogether and 2.1 million people will see an average real terms gain of£94.
Wales
In Wales the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 20,000 people out of income tax altogether and 1.1 million people will see an average real terms gain of £94.
Scotland
In Scotland the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 38,000 people out of income tax altogether and 2.13 million people will see an average real terms gain of£94.
Northern Ireland
In Northern Ireland the personal allowance increase in 2015-16 will lift 12,000 people out of income tax altogether and 617,000 people will see an average real terms gain of £94.
