ALDC, together with the North West Region Liberal Democrats (we share the same office) are looking for people who are willing to help with our campaigns and communications from our HQ office in central Manchester.
What we’re looking for:
– members of the Liberal Democrats who are able to offer a regular commitment to volunteering (e.g. the same day each week – happy to be flexible on the exact detail)
– people who have skills, ideas and enthusiasm to help with some of the tasks outlined below
Job Role
We would tailor the exact job-role to suit you, your skills and enthusiasms and your availability.
Some of the roles that might be suitable might include:
Election Monitoring – helping us monitor forthcoming local council by-elections and their results
IT – helping us set up new blog sites (MyCouncillor sites’) for ALDC members.
Social Media – helping us perform effectively on Facebook, Twitter and our website usage
Administration – helping with databases, membership and recruitment, emails and mailings.
Events – helping us prepare for major events like conferences, including dealing with registrations and preparation.
What can we offer?
These are voluntary roles and therefore unpaid. We can, however, pay travel expenses to come into the Manchester office, and give you an allowance for lunch.
PLUS – We’re a great friendly office to work in!
