Ian Care says
Because of the short notice, we wanted someone well known to stand in Les Allen's place, so our PPC for Derby North, Lucy Care, stood and won.
The results were:
Lucy Care (LD) 1799;
Eric Ashburner (LD) 1478;
S Parkes (Lab) 1315
G Singh (Lab) 1300
M Bardoe (UKIP) 616;
M Craven (Tory) 1069;
A Grimmadell (Tory) 847;
T Welch (Ind) 120.
Back in the 1990's this was the safest Tory seat in the city.
