On Thursday 10th October, the House of Commons debated funding for local authorities.
As a companion to the debate, the Local Government Association put together a briefing paper for policy-makers including their summary of the issues and key messages. The paper also makes clear how the LGA’s ambitious Rewiring Public Services agenda can help meet the challenges that significant cuts in central funding and the rising costs of health and social care are presenting for councils around the country.
