Our County Candidates need your Help!
Margaret Rowley, and our other county/unitary candidates need your help
“Droitwich Spa Lib Dems were out on the local campaign trail following the excitement of the Eastleigh by-election. Margaret Rowley, currently LibDem Group Leader on Wychavon District Council, is hoping to capture Droitwich East Division for the Party in Worcestershire County Council elections on May 2nd. In 2009 she came just 158 votes behind the Tory. Margaret said “It is more important than ever we get our message across. We have had the best ever response from our survey so far. People may be disillusioned by national politics but they value a local candidate who will stand up for their concerns as shown by the result of the Eastleigh by-election”
ALDC is encouraging all those who do not have elections on May 2nd to help in the county elections right through to polling day. Together we really can make a difference.
To help to build this campaigning we’re have agreed with the Party an ACTION DAY on Saturday March 23rd. Many will have already made contact with target county divisions on the National Day of Action on Fairer Tax in February, but if you’re not sure who to help or how to contact them, talk to us at ALDC and we’ll set you in the right direction. Here are some of the battlegrounds.
Whether it be by:
- Helping on the ground on the action day – Saturday March 23rd
- Phone canvassing and or phone knocking up
- Donating towards their local campaign costs
- Making your office, stuffing, printing facilities available
We can all make a difference
Eastleigh showed us the power of the party pulling to help a single cause. Our next electoral challenge is the County and Unitary elections on May 2nd.
Lets make sure we’re smiling again on Friday May 3rd
