As part of their annual C’llr Awards, the Local Government Information Unit are offering a £10,000 Bruce-Lockhart Member Scholarship to a current councillor with a localism-related project in mind.
The five key qualities they are looking for are:
- Evidence of impact locally – within your ward, the borough as a whole and the council itself
- Evidence that you have influenced local policy
- Evidence that your voice has been heard nationally within the sector or that you have contributed to national debate
- Evidence that you have contributed to local government innovation
- Wider evidence of leadership in pursuit of professional, community or personal interests
Alongside this, you will be asked to submit a proposal for a specific project to be funded via the Scholarship/
Judging takes place on Feb 5th, so don’t hesitate if you would like to apply!
