The Access to Elected Office Fund has been created to help remove many of the additional obstacles that disabled people face when standing as a candidate in an election.
The Fund can make available grants of between £250 and £20,000 to candidates to meet the costs of the additional support that they require. Qualification is under the definition set by the Equality Act 2010 and the Fund can cover elections at local and national level.
