As part of the targeting process all ward campaign teams should be assessed on their capacity to deliver a winning campaign. Many “safe wards” can stagnate and may have too often cruised through elections. Winning yet lacking true strength and adding little to the wider campaign.
An audit can awaken seasoned campaigners to weaknesses that need addressing and highlight to those newer to elections what needs to be done.
