Autumn Federal Conference 2010 takes place in Liverpool, Saturday 18 – Wednesday 22 September 2010. If you’re not registered already and would like to go you can register here. The Party has some great deals for day delegates and for “first time” delegates.
ALDC Training
ALDC has some great training planned for conference. All Party members are welcome to attend and it is a great reason to come to Liverpool for the Saturday morning (most people tend to come up on Friday evening if they can).

Campaign WorkshopsWe have two 1/2 day (all morning) campaign workshops on Saturday and Sunday mornings at Conference. On Saturday it’s a campaign planning workshop for the English Districts and Unitary Authorities who have ALL OUT elections on 5th May 2011. On Sunday we have a whole half day up-to-date briefing from the Party’s Director of Campaigns Hilary Stephenson and Local Elections Chair Andrew Stunell MP. Both will be well worth ensuring your team is represented at.
Campaign Essentials CourseAs a new feature this year we have a full course of eight sessions aimed at providing volunteer Lib Dem campaigners with the essential building blocks for winning year-round campaigning. It’s a set of eight new modules, come to all eight, come to some or just come to one – whatever works for you. The courses will all have content that you can take away and run a simple session back at home for your team. The eight sessions are:
– Targeting and the Plan
– Winning the Postal Vote
– Talking and Listening to the Voters
– The Winning Team
– E Campaigning
– Focus – How, What, When
– Successful Campaigning at the Grassroots
– GOTV (Get out the vote!)
Councillor Training – ALDC and LG Leadership and Improvement (formerly IDeA)Once again we’re working with our colleagues at LG Leadership and Improvement to bring Lib Dem Councillors a set of eight sessions to help you achieve more in your role:
– Whole Place / Total Place, Area Based Working
– Sharing Officers, Sharing Services
– Member Officer Relations
– Cabinet Member for Your Ward
– Budgeting in Control
– Budgeting in Opposition
– We are in Government, implications for Lib Dem Councillors

Other training includes; sessions for London councillors and leaders, sessions for Group Researchers, sessions on the Be a Lib Dem Councillor Programme and Next Generation programmes and a drop-in workshop for MyCouncillor users.
